The small medieval village of Bodham is conveniently situated a few miles east of the picturesque Georgian town of Holt, and offers easy access to North Norfolk’s coastline with glorious beaches and delightful villages. With a thriving gastropub, The Red Hart, Bodham has a charming community with held events in and around the village hall. A playing field with play area and outdoor gym equipment makes this village great for families. The surrounding countryside comprises of heathland, woodland and rolling farmland. A three mile walk leads through beautiful Sheringham Park National Trust land, or pretty Kelling Heath, to the coast.
The towns of Sheringham and Holt offer excellent opportunities to shop, eat and explore. Sheringham boasts a Blue Flag beach supported by a multitude of amenities, making it a popular destination for visitors. Originally a small fishing village until the arrival of the railway in 1887, The Poppy Line still operates heritage diesel and steam engines running from the pretty station in Sheringham centre, along the coastline through Weybourne and Kelling, then on to Holt. For food lovers, book into the Michelin starred into Meadowsweet, in Holt, which is also home to Owl Tea Rooms and the Folly Tea Room.
