Situated at the top of the picturesque village of Runswick Bay and offering secluded gardens and parking, this delightful detached holiday cottage enjoys views across the cliff tops down to the sea. A tumble of pretty little cottages, almost clinging to the cliffs, leads down to the wide sandy beach at the bottom of the bay, surrounded and sheltered by the rugged cliff line. Cliff top walks afford breathtaking views across the North Yorkshire coastline as far as the historic port of Whitby, known for its connections with Captain James Cook and the novel of Dracula, written by Bram Stoker. Dracula was published in 1897 with many of the early chapters recognisably set in Whitby - the various sites including Tate Hill Sands, the abbey, the church and its steps, the graveyard and Stoker’s house which have all become huge tourist attractions and are well worth a visit.
