Situated in the centre of Keswick, this self-contained accommodation is an annexe to a large Victorian terrace house accessed from the rear of the main house via a shared yard. You have your own front door which leads into a downstairs utility room comprising a sink, units, small breakfast bar with stools, microwave, toaster, small fridge, kettle, glasses and crockery. PLEASE NOTE there is no cooker or hob. The toilet and shower cubicle are also on the ground floor and located off the utility room. Stairs take you to a twin room on the first floor with small sofa, chest of drawers and small TV for WiFi enabled streaming. There is no private parking, but on-street parking isn't too difficult to find and you can load / unload (but not park) straight into the annexe from the access road at the back. We are happy to accommodate a maximum of 2 dogs in the apartment and we are only minutes away from 2 large local parks.
We (mum, dad, 2 teens, 2 cats and a dog) live in the main house, but the annexe is entirely self contained so, with the possible exception of passing in the back yard, you shouldn't expect to see us! We love living in Keswick and being able to get out and about to the hills, lakes and mountains and are fortunate enough that we have additional space to be able to allow others to enjoy it too. The apartment is entirely private so you can come and go as you please but, if there are any problems, we can be immediately on-hand to sort them out.
Being in the centre of town, the apartment is within 5-10 min walking distance of everything Keswick has to offer. This includes a number of quality pubs, restaurants and shops, plus a market every Thursday and Saturday, a theatre and a cinema. There are also a number of festivals through the year covering a range of activities - the biggest being the Jazz Festival, the Beer Festival and the Keswick Mountain Festival. Through the spring, summer and early autumn there is some form or running, swimming or cycling event almost every weekend and the town is a Mecca for those that love the outdoors with lots of places to hire bikes and boats. From the bus station you can easily catch busses to all points of the compass, or head straight out by foot or by bike into the surrounding countryside. There is so much to do that you can easily just park your car on arrival and not touch it again until you leave.
