The award winning Formby beach is just a 20min walk. Formby is great for shopping and eating out with a variety of busy popular bars and restaurants that are well worth a visit. Two adults or a small family are very welcome. Hot Tub included in the price. Hot tub is automatically switched off at Midnight. Squirrel Hideaway is a hidden gem on Shoreside of Formby. This is down a normal everyday road but hidden away from sight. This is a well designed small but spacious property that on the outside looks like a normal house but on the inside is themed as a log cabin in the beautiful Formby Pinewoods with it’s famous red squirrels. It is most suitable for couples or a small family. There is a double bed in the bedroom and a double sofa-bed in the living room which is suitable for children, not adults. This would be ideal for bird watchers or ramblers as it’s so close to the pinewoods. It would also be ideal for anyone looking for somewhere to stay visiting family or friends in the area or people on business. Squirrel Hideaway has an outside space which is ideal in all weathers to sit and relax. We have tried to make this a home from home with a TV in the living room and also the bedroom, both of which have Sky and Netflix, a full working kitchen, walk-In rain shower and just a beautiful relaxing space to enjoy. There is One CCTV camera which monitors the main street gate entrance only, nowhere else can be seen on the camera and this is to monitor for excess guests, parties and pets which none are allowed. All Guests MUST provide full photo ID with their full name and address or they will not be able to stay at the Hideaway. This is preferably a Driving License. A passport is accepted as long as you also send a Letter such as council tax letter that shows full address.

The Squirrel Hideaway is designed to be self sufficient and self check-in and self check-out but we are literally only a message away if you do encounter any problems at all.

Formby Beach and Red Squirrel Reserve are both in walking distance of the Squirrel Hideaway as well as the beautiful Formby Pinewoods which are just a short ten minute walk away. Formby Village is a great spot for shopping and eating out. Formby town centre is home to a number of high street names as well as some independently-run shops. Formby also has a variety of very popular and busy bars and restaurants that are well worth a visit.
