All around are superb walks starting from your doorstep with well signposted footpaths and bridleways to explore, stunning coastline which make for a perfect walking/cycling/riding holiday.
The historical St Catherine's Lighthouse is one of the oldest lighthouse locations in Great Britain, although no longer open to the public, it is still amazing to see and located a short 10 minute stroll away.
A walk down "dock lane", an old smugglers path next to the Buddle Inn car park, will take you down to Castle Haven, where you will be able to get a freshly brewed coffee and then head down to Watershoot Bay, just along from St Catherine's Lighthouse. (Please be aware that the beach is rocky; sandy at low tide, be sure not to get caught by the tide!)
Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Osborne House, Wildheart animal sanctuary and Carisbrooke Castle are some of the island's most popular attractions.

Travelling times are approximately one and a half to two hours from London to Lymington Ferry Port or Portsmouth Ferry Port - 30 minute ferry crossing.
