THE STAR INN ROOMS, ARDERISER ALMA HOTEL - AIRPORT HOTEL While Arderiser functioned primarily as a fishing village, the Jacobite Rising had an impact on its history. The Alma was built as a consequence of Fort George. It's suggested that the Hotel was constructed as a look-out post for the roads leading to Fort George, which was the ultimate defence against further Jacobite unrest. Now, the Alma Hotel is apart of a family run business.. Fully refurbished in April 2017 with the additional of a self contained flat next door.

The village of Ardersier has two convenience stores, a pharmacy, a hairdresser, several organic food outlets and a church. There is a hourly bus service between Ardersier - Inverness and Ardersier - Elgin with the bus stop nearby.
