Sundown is located in a quiet self catering holiday park on the outskirts of Sandown. It is a purpose built chalet and in our opinion one of the best locations on site with its elevated yet sheltered and sunny position. With far reaching views to be enjoyed from inside and out. The property benefits from a full thermostatic heating system unlike most chalets on site, so would be particularly cosy for those early or late season breaks. It also benefits from colonial style shuttering, easily adjusted to your preference. There is also an enclosed grass area in front of the chalet where children can play safely. The chalet shares its Wi-Fi with next door Sunset 128 which we own and is also listed so if you are looking to holiday with friends or family perhaps look at both. Electric is included at no extra cost unlike some. The kitchen is fully self contained including electric oven with hob, microwave, toaster and all the utensils you may need. The lounge has a flat screen TV, comfortable seating and a breakfast bar where meals can be eaten whilst enjoying the view. A seating area on the terrace outside can also be used with a bistro table and chairs. The 2nd bedroom has bunk beds.

We are a small family run business who now own three chalets on site. The other two being 77 Sunrise and 128 Sunset. We discovered the site quite by accident whilst visiting the beautiful island by walking the coastal path up to the local monument, admiring the views and scenery. We loved the location so much we purchased our first chalet the following year intending it to be for our use and friends and family only. This soon developed into wanting to share the 'hidden secret' with more people and making it available for holiday lettings and in turn we have been luckily enough to now own two further chalets for the same purpose. We love hearing about our guests stays and their adventures they have had whilst staying and now have a number of returning guests. Sundown is set in a lovely location and only a few minutes walk to the sandy beach and other amenities and attractions including the town and pier. There are wonderful walks on your doorstep with stunning views of both land and sea. Dinosaur Isle is approximately 1.2km away with a children's adventure park set next to it at Sandham Gardens including skynets and go-karts for the children. Brown's golf and the IOW Zoo are also a short walk along the seafront. Other Isle of Wight attractions including Osborne House, Blackgang Chine, Aqua Park and the Needles can be easily reached by car or the local bus service which has a stop just outside the site entrance. Various eateries can be found in the area and also in Sandown High Street which would be approximately a 25 minute walk from the chalet. A couple of supermarkets are also a short drive away.
