Our lovely sunny studio apartment is situated in Colchester, two miles from the centre of town. The studio has a king size bed, seating area with sofa bed, a bathroom and kitchen. Looking out onto a large garden patio, guest are welcome to use the unheated pool (9am - 12 noon) from May to August. The property has free wifi, parking and an EV charging point (charged separately). For guests wishing to arrive by train, we are happy to collect you from the station at a prearranged time.
Our sunny studio is an annex in our family home. As hosts, we can be as present or as removed as you like us to be. We can be on hand for help and advice about the local area, as well as fix problems, but are also more than happy to let you enjoy your time away from home on your own. This is a new venture for us and we are looking forward to meeting you.
Walking distance from The Lexden Crown Pub, with great food and a lovely pub garden. We are a 5 minute taxi ride or buses run every 10 minutes to the centre of Colchester, which is the oldest recorded town in Britain! There is a lot of history including a Norman castle, the Roman wall (boasting the only carriage gate still in existence), and much more. Guided walking tours of the town take 2 hours and are highly recommended. With its many shops, restaurants and award winning art gallery there is something for everyone. We are a 30 minute drive from the coast, and close to the natural beauty of Constable country. Mersea Island is a 20 minute drive away with its world-famous Colchester Oysters. Colchester is under an hour from London by train which run every 20 minutes.
