Beverley and Donald have lived and worked locally to the area for many years. We feel lucky to live in the Peak District, with all it has to offer and like to bring some of that experience to others choosing to take their holidays with us. We think that a holiday should offer a wonderful, exceptional and stimulating experience. We hope that the comfort and convenience of Swallows Nest will take the difficulties out of "the holiday" and leave our guests free to enjoy what our part of the world has to offer. We like to accommodate different groups of people and Swallows Nest is suitable for couples, small groups and of course families.
Bradwell sits at the heart of the Peak District National Park on the Border between the Dark Peak (The high gritstone edges and heather clad moorland) and the White Peak (a limestone plateau area with magical hidden river valleys and gorges. There are a multitude of beautiful villages to visit as well as stately homes (of which Chatsworth is the most famous, Haddon Hall, Hardwick Hall and several others within the county of Derbyshire). The area is renowned for its varied walking, cycling, mountain biking, climbing and caving. The area is generously supplied with pubs and restaurants catering for heart!y appetites and fine dining.
From Bradwell it is easy to travel just a few minutes into either the White Peak or the Dark Peak or there is some superb walking and of course cycling from your doorstep. It is quite possible to spend your whole holiday using Bradwell as your base and not having to use your car!
