Addingham Moor has been home to a village since the Iron Age. The textile industry began in the 1500s and flourished until the Industrial Revolution, with many mills operating in the vicinity. Nowadays, Addingham is a tranquil village with several excellent shops and restaurants, as well as access to the neighbouring Bracken Ghyll golf course. The Addingham Gala is held in July and includes a parade, fell racing, and various stalls and festivities.
