The Artist house was build in the 1930's and retains many of the original features, such as period doors, and the picture rail. The kitchen and bathroom have been updated in recent years. The hall is brightly coloured and decorated with paintings.
Hello, thank you for booking to stay at the Artist House. I will be here to welcome you, and I trust you will feel at home in my home. I have just one room that I rent out for guests, and aim to make your time here as comfortable as possible, whilst allowing you privacy and quietness. Please do not expect "HOTEL" facilities and common rooms. I provide ahome from home bedroom and bathroom for you and a breakfast to set you up for the day with my personal touch and sense of individuality. I work (as an artist painter!) from a studio at the top of the garden. The house is full of the work of artists and friends, as well as my own.
The house is set in a residential street off a main road, just below the JR teaching hospital and local to the health centre examination school in Jack Straws Lane, as well as Oxford Brooks. It is quiet as its not a through route, and safe at night due to sufficient street lighting, and homes having sensor lights. There are shops within 5 mins walk that cover the basics, and a variety of good eateries in Headington.
