This stunning renovation of a 130+ year old Grade A listed water mill comprises the Meal Mill and the Barley Mill.
There has been a mill on this site since c1737. However, this was rebuilt in 1891 following a fire that completely destroyed the original building. The mill was disused from the 1960's and was then lovingly converted in 2003 by the previous owners with The Barley Mill imagined as part of the conversion from the start.
The cottage forms part of the East Wing of the distinctive Meal Mill and offers a unique, relaxing holiday experience in North-East Scotland between the historic Cathedral town of Elgin and picturesque River Spey village of Fochabers.
Conveniently close to many areas and activities such as the River Spey, the Moray Coast, the Speyside Whisky Trail and the beautiful Cairngorm National Park, there is plenty to tempt those looking for a quiet vacation, as well as those craving for active and even adventurous pursuits.
