Our delightful and cosy cabin is a peaceful haven with its own private north facing garden.
The cabin is spacious and recommended for 2 people, with a lovely kitchenette and handy pop-up table with seating. The sofa bed would sleep 2 small children or one adult, we also have a travel cot available which would make it very cosy (only recommended if staying for a short time and space isn't a priority please :)
Our home immediately next door to the cabin is a work in progress. Although we can confirm there will be no noisy works taking place during your stay, there is visual evidence of building works within the landscaping.
We are a family of 4 plus Molly the pooch - Molly is friendly and may say hello if she sees you! We love living in Frome and being close to the town centre but far enough out to be unaffected by the busy market town. Prior to children we both worked in hospitality - meeting new people and providing a service and space that gives people pleasure away from the normality of day-to-day life is rewarding and we are excited to be returning to our roots.
We spent many years welcoming foreign students to our previous home, now that our children are older we have relocated within Frome and embarked on a renovation. The builders have now left, phew! Finishing our own home and surrounding gardens will be a labour of love for sometime so please don't be surprised when you arrive as our home and landscaping are unfinished – we love gardening and growing our own veggies but there is a lot to do! Please be reassured the cabin is a finished product with its own private garden and you will be largely unaffected. We are pleased to be welcoming guests and hosting in a slightly different format which provides you with the space to enjoy an undisturbed break, with us on hand to assist with your needs :)
Situated on the edge of the many activities in and around Frome, a unique place to visit with its many quirky shops, restaurants and cafes, festivals and music events....there is no shortage of things happening within the local events calendar and Longleat and Bath are easily accessed. If you are looking to escape the hustle and bustle, there are lots of lovely walks including one to Nunney castle directly from our front door. It takes 5 mins to drive into town or walking (15 mins) please note Frome is in a basin and be prepared as everything is uphill to get back out of town. Uphill needn't be too challenging though as you can enjoy the lovely scenic route (and some retail therapy!) as you walk up Catherine hill which even has its own page on tripadvisor. There are lots of local amenities on foot; these include the supermarket (5 mins) train station (20 mins) and a bus stop across the road from our accommodation with frequent direct links into town and bath city centre.
