The Causeway is a new build luxury chalet, a home from home. Tastefully and calmly decorated with all mod. cons and best quality furnishings. Your king sized bed is made up with crisp white cotton, ready and inviting a peaceful nights sleep after a days exploring. Set in an idyllic location by the sea, where you can enjoy the peace and quiet while spotting the otters, herons feeding and fish leaping in the loch in front of the chalet. The golden eagle is often seen circling above us. Central for visiting the many attractions that Skye has to offer including famous restaurants (booked up fairly solidly) Whatever your disposition, The Causeway is the prefect getaway! Please be aware there is no electric car charging at the Causeway as there is only a domestic supply.

Our home is at the other end of the garden so we are always available (or nearly) and are very happy to help with directions and recommendations or anything that could make your stay more memorable. Weather permitting, we are usually found working in the garden although never intrusively.

The Causeway is in a rural location. The main town of Portree is 20mins drive, while Dunvegan with its famous castle and gardens is 20mins drive, The Talisker distillery is well worth visit, also about 30 mins drive, and the world famous Three chimneys restaurant is a half hour drive (booking in advance essential) Too many attractions to list like the fairy pools, fairy glen, the old man of storr, kilt rock, seal islands, to mention just a few! It is a good base to travel to most parts of the Island. A car is a must as public transport is almost non existent! DISCLAIMER The nearest airport is Inverness which is 2.5 hours drive not as advertised. Stornoway, Benbecula and Tiree are different Islands!
