“The Granny Flat” offers the perfect Scottish holiday and the ideal base for relaxation and adventures. This upper floor annexe is a self-catering accommodation which is part of an old coach house located in Knipoch, overlooking stunning views of Loch Feochan and the surrounding mountains. The Granny Flat is a modernly designed accommodation that consists of a bedroom with a king-size bed and sofa bed, a kitchen and a bathroom. It has its own private entrance and access to a large garden with children’s swings, a stream and rest areas. A welcome tray with refreshments is included on arrival. The accommodation is situated next to a sheep farm and the back of the garden leads out to a beautiful walk up into the forest and viewpoints with spectacular panoramic views. Oban town centre is less than a 10 minute drive away.

A 10 minute drive from Knipoch takes you to The Isle of Seil, which is one of the Slate Islands known as the “Islands Which Roofed The World”. It has been linked to the mainland by the Clachan Bridge, known as the “Bridge Over The Atlantic” since the late 18th century. McCraig’s Tower, built in 1897, is one of the most iconic landmarks sitting above Oban town centre giving you spectacular views across Oban Bay and the islands. Oban offers an extensive range of services including a selection of good seafood restaurants. In the heart of the town is Oban Distillery, one of the oldest and smallest distilleries in Scotland, established in 1794. Close to Oban train station is the ferry terminal, which is constantly busy with travellers throughout the year, with ferries departing to a wide range of islands including Mull, Colonsay, Tiree and many more. There are also regular sea tours departing from the harbour, with guides providing commentary about the local wildlife, the history of the area and its landmarks.
