Welcome to The Half Moon, a traditional Norfolk country inn offering great food, a warm atmosphere, and six beautifully appointed rooms for a relaxing stay in the heart of the countryside. Breakfast is included in your room rate and will be served either at the Mariners Galley Café, located just 50 yards from our letting rooms, or inside the pub, depending on the day of your stay. Our food is now proudly served by Bassani’s, an authentic Italian restaurant bringing the true taste of Italy to The Half Moon. The Bassani’s team combines traditional Italian flavours with the freshest local ingredients to create a dining experience that’s both comforting and inspiring. Keighly, your host, brings many years of experience in the pub trade — from her early years helping run the family bar to her career in events management and her role as Operations Director for a successful pub company, overseeing five pubs and over sixty-five staff. Her passion for hospitality ensures a warm welcome, excellent service, and a vibrant bar offering a fantastic selection of wines, ales, and spirits. The front part of the Inn is circa 17th century or earlier timber framed with red brick cladding added circa early 19th century. So you can enjoy our traditional large ingle nook fire place with log burner on the cooler nights and oak beams throughout. We also have a conservatory overlooking the rear garden area, which has established shrubs, grass and large children's play frame .Large gravelled carpark The local 100th Bomber squadron memorial museum only 10 minutes’ drive has historical connections with the Inn, as former service persons often frequented. The history of the bomber group is soon to be made into a 9 hour Mini-series called “Masters of the air” Produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, Directed by Cary Fukunaga.
