It’s most famous as the birthplace of William Wordsworth, and a visit to Wordsworth House and Garden offers a glimpse into the poet’s early life. Stroll along the banks of the River Derwent or visit Jennings Brewery for a taste of locally brewed ales. The town is also home to galleries, antique shops, and vibrant local markets, making it a delight to explore.
