There are many wonderful routes for walking and bike riding which makes our 70 acre farm the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. You’ll be staying on the doorstep of Arger Fen, a large nature reserve and beauty spot, which you can reach easily by foot. A short walk will take you into the village of Assington which has a gastropub, cafe and farmshop offering local produce. Woodthorpes Farm is located on the outskirts Assington, a small village in-between Colchester and Sudbury. The farm is set on 70 acres of grazing horse paddocks, woodland and an apple orchard. We are on the doorstep of Arger Fen, a beautiful nature reserve providing walks with exceptional views. The village of Assington itself has a gastro pub serving drinks and food, a farm shop offering local produce and Assington Country Kitchen for lighter meals.
