Our beautiful detached country house is situated in the small rural hamlet of Inwood, 2 miles from the delightful market town of Church Stretton in an AONB. In a tranquil position between the beautiful Long Mynd Hills to the west & the Caradoc & Lawley Hills to the east, the property enjoys stunning views over the surrounding South Shropshire hills. This spacious & comfortable home-from-home offers modern luxury in the heart of the countryside & is elegantly furnished throughout with airy living spaces. It benefits from 5 spacious bedrooms, 3 of which are en suite and one with an additional day bed. The sleeping accommodation is flexible (2 of the bedrooms have zip & link super king beds) making it ideal for different combinations of guests. The delightful well equipped kitchen leads to a dining room with stunning countryside views & there are 2 further ground floor living rooms & an upstairs games room. The Oaks knows how to have fun too! The lovely enclosed 2 acre garden has 2 large patios facing west & south with teak outdoor furniture, BBQ and fire bowl for cooking & camp fires! Or add a bit of extra sparkle to your stay & hire a hot tub to soak up the peace. Things to note: The AGA runs all year at the Oaks. There is a refundable security deposit of 500GBP. Luxury hot tub available – please request on booking (additional fee per stay applies, to be paid separately). A local company, Shrewsbury Hot Tub Co., handles the complete process from guest booking to installation and on-line safety briefing documents etc. They will also collect payment and provide an advice hotline if required.The welcome hamper contains tea, ground coffee, wine, cereal, orange juice, butter, milk, cheese, eggs, marmalade, bread, cake, biscuits, oranges, apples,  bananas

The Long Mynd & Stretton Hills provide excellent walking, strolling & bird watching for everybody whatever the time of year. From gentle walks in the valleys beside the streams to more strenuous hikes for the more serious rambler or cyclists. Numerous walks & mountain bike rides start from the front gate, which leads directly onto Long Mynd’s 5,000 acres of heather-covered Moorland owned by the National Trust. Church Stretton, 2 miles away at the heart of the Long Mynd, is set amid striking scenery and is often described as “Little Switzerland”. It boasts a variety of tea rooms, pubs, specialist shops, a large antique centre & the challenging Church Stretton Golf Club on the top of the Long Mynd. Local country pubs in the surrounding villages offer great food, open fires & real ale. Hill View Fishery, 2 miles, offers fly & trout fishing. The Oaks is ideally placed for exploring the historic towns of gastronomic Ludlow, Medieval Shrewsbury, Ironbridge with it famous Gorge Museums, Much Wenlock & Bridgnorth with the famous Severn Valley railway. Not forgetting the Acton Scott Historic Working Farm & a host of NT and EH properties including Attingham House & Park & Stokesay Castle.
