Twig is one of our luxury pods at The Paddocks Pod. Ideally located in Selside, 4 miles outside of Kendal, on the edge of the Lake District National Park for you to enjoy a relaxing break away from busy life, surrounded by nature. Set within family farmland with stunning views over the Howgills. This luxury hand crafted pod is exclusively available for your use, including a double bed, sofa bed, kitchen, dining area, ensuite shower room, private patio, outdoor seating and firepit/BBQ swing arm. Double doors opening out onto the private patio to fully appreciate the views and peaceful surroundings. There is also an additional patio area next to the pod with lounge chairs and a combi fire-pit/BBQ swing arm. The kitchen has a double electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle and toaster. Numerous essentials provided including tea, coffee, sugar, oil, and a selection of spices. Everything you could need whilst also enjoying all the eateries of the local area. There is a dining area with table and chairs, smart TV and WiFi. The entire pod is fully heated and we have a portable oscillating fan available. Adjacent to the pod there is on-site parking. There is access to a shared utility room with washer and drier. All bedding and towels are provided. We have made sustainable choices where possible, using refill washing liquid, hand wash, hand cream, hand sanitiser and cleaning products. The pod is perfect for both walkers and cyclists who want to take in both the immediate surroundings from the doorstep or venture a short drive into the heart of the Lake District with easy access to Kendal, Windermere, Ambleside and much more. Or for anyone that would like a break from their busy lives in an idyllic countryside location. Local maps and walking routes from the pod doorstep available for guest use.

I have created three luxury glamping pods that I am extremely proud of. I aim to create a home away from home stay and I hope that we have provided everything you need for your stay. Selside in situated 4 miles North of Kendal, which is an attractive market town with an eclectic range of shops, cafes and restaurants. Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall are a few miles to the south of the town. With both easy access into the heart of the Lake District and scenic countryside walks from your doorstep, the Paddocks Pod is a perfect location to enjoy a relaxing break away. Staveley, Bowness, Windermere & Ambleside are all within 15 - 30 minutes drive. The closet main train station is Oxenholme the Lake District and the closest local train station is Kendal. The pod is less than 15 minutes drive to the nearest town Kendal, to get around a car would be most convenient however there are plenty of local taxi firms that we could recommend. We are not situated on a bus route. You can cycle and walk easily and safely in the local area. We have an information book in the pod with public footpaths from the doorstep.
