Welcome to the “The Silver Spirit”. An Iconic 1964 American Airstream Trailer. It began life in 1964 and was shipped from America in 2022. It has been restored by a master craftsman “James Catling” as seen on George Clarke's Amazing Spaces (April 2025). Set here in Lathkill Dale there are an abundance of outdoor adventures to explore in the Peak District (10 minutes from Bakewell and Chatsworth House) before returning and sinking into what we hope will be a place to create wonderful Airstream Memories. Traditional local pub serving great food 5 minute walk.
This is my second year of hosting guests in "The Silver Spirit" and my mission is for you enjoy the unique, cozy and quirky accommodation and to create some great American Airstream Memories of your own. Having had a career in both Health and Social Care this adds a whole new dimension to my life which I am really enjoying. Getting things right for people continues to matter to me whether it is care or holidays.
Small village a few hundred metres away with pub offering great food
Parking is available on the campsite for 1 vehicle (next to the Airstream)
There is poor phone signal and WiFi is not always available onsite offering a real opportunity to switch off, be undisturbed and sink into the environment and surroundings
The walks in this part of the Peak District are renowned. Well worth bringing your maps and planning a walk or two
