This area of Ferryden was built to accommodate the expansion of the original fishing village (the bit at the riverside!) during the fishing boom of the early to mid 19th Century. Originally the building would have been home to 4 separate fishing families! There is a local pub in the village and Montrose is now also a boom town with the emergence of the off-shore wind industry - we have a brand new cinema and fantastic sports centre, not to mention a world famous links golf course! Free on-street parking is available outside the flat and there is also a regular bus service into Montrose. Montrose also has a train station on the east coast mainline and is only 50 minutes to Aberdeen.
