A warm, fully equipped and comfortable self contained studio full of surprises that will make you smile. The design is a celebration of the local area beauty bringing the outdoors inside.
Practical and restful, it’s perfect as a walkers retreat whether you are a loved up couple or 2 close friends.
This self-contained beautiful studio is on the ground floor of a three-storey stone house. The owner lives quietly on the upper floors.
It’s designed for walkers, very functional, including a giant OS map of the local area (1:50 000). It’s also a bit of fun with its stile as bedside table and signs you may find when out in your walks.
This compact open plan space has everything you need to feel warm and relaxed. There is a super-efficient wood-burner that you can enjoy whilst resting on the sofa. If a wood burner is not your thing, the studio is fully heated with underfloor heating. As like any 220-year-old stone house, it stays refreshingly cool during the hot summer days.
There is a fully equipped kitchenette, with a breakfast bar looking out to the beautiful surroundings. The sleeping area can either be a king size bed or twin beds- both options are delightfully comfortable. The bathroom is full of surprises, with an excellent shower.
The front of the house offers a seating area, various fresh herbs for cooking, plenty of opportunities to chat to the locals and amazing views! It is indeed brilliantly located: in the middle of Snowdonia National Park, it looks onto Bleanau Ffestiniog, which has recently become a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There is a multitude of walks from the door step.
NB: As many quirky Welsh cottages, the headroom is quite low. So, if you’re taller than 1.90m, you will need to bend your head a little.
I love walking and discovering the endless beauty of Snowdonia. Always happy to share the best walks around The Walkers' Cwtch
Located right at the heart of Snowdonia National Park, The Walkers' Cwtch is surrounded by popular walking trails as well as many hidden beautiful lakes and waterfalls on its doorstep. Make sure to walk to Cwum Cynfal (waterfall). It's totally breath-taking. In the village, less than half a mile away, you will find a greatly stocked convenience store and the Y Pengwern Pub. Bleanau Ffestiniog with all shops and amenities is 2.8 miles away.
Bleanau Ffestiniog became UNESCO World Heritage for its historic significance in "roofing the world" and extraordinary landscape in 2021.
