The Yellow Door is a peaceful 1 bedroom annex set in Private gardens close to the beach in central Whitstable. A quiet ten minute walk by footpath leads to Whitstable’s beaches, the town and home of world famous oysters. The annex is part of our home but is self contained with locked entrance and own outdoor space, we share the same front door to the main house but when we have guests the front door and entrance hall is all yours as we use the back entrance instead.
The bedroom looks out over our beautiful front garden and the historic Manor House. Perfect for singles and couples. We can accommodate 1 child or baby.
Well-behaved small dogs on leads also welcome.
The main bedroom has a comfy double bed and there is a single sofa bed that folds out for a child in the living area, however please note that when this is folded out it inhibits access to the outdoor space as it folds out in front of the double doors.
There is a small kitchenette with a microwave and toaster but no other cooking facilities. There is a kettle and cafetière and we provide tea and coffee, fruit juice, bread, butter, jam, marmalade and cereals for breakfast, this is already in the room for you to help yourself to. There is a small television in the bedroom with all digital channels including Netflix but no access to terrestrial channels as there is no aerial.
The space is calm and serene with some books provided and a desk for working.
The covered outside space has the kitchen sink so washing up is Al fresco! There is a table with 3 folding chairs and 3 more comfy chairs with cushions and blankets. There is a small private gravel courtyard for use in the warmer months.
We live in the beautiful seaside town of Whitstable in Kent. We live in the house attached to the annex. We are a family of 2 adults and 1 child. We have 2 cats. We are usually available during your stay and can offer the use of an iron, and washing machine.
In the centre of Whitstable, the annex is set in beautiful gardens off a private footpath far away from any traffic noise. There are footpaths with direct access to the beach in around 10 minutes. Close to the town and beaches with its world famous oyster restaurants, working harbour and idyllic atmosphere.
The station is a 20 minute walk away or if coming by car there is parking on the private road close to the footpath to the property.
We are a 10 minute walk to the beach and town through footpaths. Bring a torch or light as the footpath is very dark at night, there are no streetlights.
