With a family home like this, why would we not want to share it with people. We are Sarah and Felix - we call ourselves the Caretakers of this stunning place we are lucky enough to call home. We fell in love with the Highlands and decided to raise our family here.
We are passionate about caring for this beautiful piece of land and home, and want this gem to flourish for the generations to come. We look forward to sharing the "Torridon Experience", and for you to acquaint yourselves with the surroundings and stunning scenery that Torridon is known for.
We decided to open up the house as a B&B for guests. As it's still first and foremost our family home and not a four-star hotel, please understand that it sometimes comes with some of the quirks and personality of a historic property—meaning the house can seem to have a mind of its own at times. If you’re an intrepid, independent traveller or family of travellers looking to base your Highland adventures somewhere unique, we’re thrilled to have you on board.
Our hope is that you come away from your time in Torridon with the same sense of adventure and wonder that prompted us to move here in the first place.

Situated on the shore of Loch Torridon, beneath the dramatic mountain ranges of Beinn Alligin and Liathach.
Torridon House was built in 1875, being constructed from the ancient Torridon red sandstone. The house was originally designed for family living, built by Duncan Darroch.
Torridon Estate is made up of 150 acres. The house itself is surrounded by a large garden, with native trees framing the large front lawn. Most of the area consists of native woodland, with the River Corry running through the forrest and passing beside the house. With a stunning waterfall and deeper plunge pools, the river is an eye catching piece of the property.
The river is an important part of the household as it fuels the hydro turbine, which supplies the house with naturally generated electricity. As well as this, it supplies the house with pure water flowing down from the surrounding hills and natural springs.
