Trelawny Lodge is one of Seaview’s quietly historic homes, an 1880s cottage that has been part of the village’s story for generations. Set amongst narrow streets just a short walk from the water, it offers sea views, generous outdoor space, and an easy rhythm of life that suits both long summer holidays and bracing weekend escapes.

Life here moves at a wonderfully relaxed pace. From Trelawny Lodge, you’re only a few minutes’ stroll from Seaview’s sandy beaches, sailing clubs, and welcoming pubs, perfect for morning swims, rock-pooling at low tide, or watching the yachts sweep through the Solent.
A little further along the coast, Ryde offers a livelier scene with its traditional pier, bowling alley, arcades, and a line-up of summer events, from carnivals to the famous scooter rally. Its independent shops and cafés make it easy to while away an afternoon, and there are fast links to the mainland via the hovercraft or Wightlink catamaran, ideal if you want to bring friends down for the weekend.
Whether you spend your days exploring the coast on foot, trying your hand at paddleboarding, or simply sitting in the garden watching the ships go by, this is the kind of place that makes you slow down, switch off, and settle in.
