We've lived in this large Victorian house since 2007. We still live here, with our three cats. The cats are kept out of all the top-floor rooms when there are no guests here. Hopefully the photos have explained everything, but if not then read on… The top floor will be entirely yours. Although there are two bedrooms available, if you only need one, the other will not be in use by a stranger! Guaranteed! The private bathroom is also on the top floor. There is a kitchenette there too, for your sole use. Small fridge, microwave, toaster, utensils. There's no sink, so leave the washing up in the bowl provided. We'll take care of that. Daily, if necessary.
At the beginning of your stay, we will meet you at the front door, give you a key and then show you around. It's a shared entrance (our front door) and then many steps (33) to the top floor. Once one of us has shown you around, we will leave you completely alone, if you so wish, because we have no reason to go to the top floor, other than to assist you.
If you need us, just message / phone. If you don’t already have our phone number(s), just ask upon arrival.
Parking : if you're coming to Liverpool by car, there's room for one car on the driveway. Let us know your arrival time and the driveway will be yours. Two cars? No on-street parking restrictions around here. No permits needed.
Many issues can be addressed via a copy of the house manual which will include the WiFi password. This will be messaged to you a few days before you arrive.
We are Sue and Tim, both ex-teachers in our 50s. We now run a study centre, part-time, in South Liverpool. One of us is likely to be at home most of the time, but you can message us anytime. Please allow us a few minutes to reply. If it is incredibly urgent, call one of us instead.
Many local shops are only a five-minute walk away, including the local chip shop (Chopsticks : it's excellent!), an Indian takeaway, pizza shops and KFC. All the usual food home-delivery options are available here, too.
Asda, Tesco, Lidl and Aldi are all under ten minutes away by car.
There's a large park, Newsham, only 15 minutes' walk away.
Wetherspoons, with its free coffee refills, is about 10 minutes away by car. Ideal for breakfast!
New to Liverpool? We're not! Just ask for help with public transport and / or directions. Coming from afar? You've just got to see some of the scenery, especially the castles of North Wales. We're only a 20-minute bus journey from the main railway station (Lime Street) in the city centre. Buses run from the end of our street. Or, an Uber into town will be around twelve pounds. There's also the Voi scooter network (we're inside the Voi area).
Familiar with Liverpool? A recent guest walked from here to Anfield Stadium in 40 minutes.
