The Locality
Situated on the edge of the village of Glanton, a small community in the foothills of the Cheviots in North Northumberland. We have a pub, a part-time shop/newsagent and Sub Post Office, a village Hall, and a church (URC but with Church of England services too).
We are only 13 miles away from Alnmouth, a beautiful sandy beach stretching north and south of the mouth of the River Aln and train station.
We are 9 miles from Alnwick Castle which is the second largest inhabited castle in the UK and also where Harry Potter was filmed and further up the coast we have Bamburgh and Holy Island, so there is plenty to see and do if you choose to be kept busy!
A Guidebook is available on arrival providing Things to Do: Cycling and Walking, Castle and Gardens, Beaches and Islands, Golfing, Shopping, Restaurants and Public Transport and Taxi contact details.
