Yarmouth is a charming seaside town and the oldest settlement on the Isle of Wight. Its bustling harbour is a haven for all types of boats, and regular ferry service from the mainland to Lymington departs from its terminal. A visit to Henry VIII's castle should not be missed, and Yarmouth's winding lanes are home to a charming assortment of shops and inns. Compton Bay, four miles distant and known for its dinosaur fossils, is where you should go at low tide to see if you can spot the two massive three-toed feet.
