We are a small local holiday let company that has lived in the area for over twenty years. We love where we live and we can be found, cycling, running or walking along the lovely beaches that dot our coast, enjoying the quiet lanes on our bicycles or running on the trails. We love supporting local events and can share our local secrets if looking for something different, to enjoying local one day courses with local artists, birdwatching trips at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, or wine tasting at one of the many vineyards that are located in the 1066 area.
Our aim is to offer a truly personal service to make your stay at one of our holiday cottages as relaxing as we possibly can. Any queries or issues you may have during your stay, we are here to help. Special occasion, need help planning your surprise, we know the best florists, bakers and restaurants to book, just ask.

‘Waterside’ is a first floor, one bedroom apartment on the banks of the River Brede; in the picturesque and historic town of Rye, East Sussex.
The apartment has been finished with comfort in mind and is the perfect base for exploring all that the 1066 area has to offer. As ‘Waterside’ is end of terrace, it benefits from double aspect views from the open space living area, keeping the room light and bright whatever the season. The french doors open to reveal idyllic river views, offering a great spot to watch boats sailing or motoring along Rock Channel or for  watching the abundant birdlife swooping over the water in the hunt for a tasty snack. The property has one double bedroom, bathroom and open plan living with fully equipped kitchen, designated dining area and a comfy spot to recover from a day wandering the cobbled streets of Rye. The accommodation is perfect for a long weekend or longer stay (with the added luxury of allocated on-site parking incase you fancy any little excursions) and many fall in love with this beautiful spot only  a few minutes walk from the centre of town.

Rye enjoys a fabulous range of Independent shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants and Crown Cottage is in the perfect situation to enjoy them all. 
The ancient town of Rye has a colourful history and when you walk the paths and streets you still get a sense of that today. 
There is always something going on, whether it is enjoying the benefits of the sea and the fact that it is still a fishing port, with the Scallop festival in February, or its vibrant artistic quarter with the Jazz festival in August and the Arts and music festival in September. There is always a good reason to visit.
Rye Museum is next door to the property and St Mary's Church, with its famous Quarter Boys a five minute stroll. 
Interested in birdwatching, then Rye Nature Reserve is about 10 minutes by car and there you can wonder the paths and enjoy the views.The stunning beach of Camber Sands is only 3 miles away and if visiting without a car, there is the Sustrans path that you can walk or cycle about an hours walk from Rye.
If wanting to venture further the seaside town of Hastings is accessible by bus, train or car and is a great day out if looking for something different
