We are a small local holiday let company that has lived in the area for over twenty years. We love where we live and we can be found, cycling, running or walking along the lovely beaches that dot our coast, enjoying the quiet lanes on our bicycles or running on the trails. We love supporting local events and can share our local secrets if looking for something different, to enjoying local one day courses with local artists, birdwatching trips at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, or wine tasting at one of the many vineyards that are located in the 1066 area. Our aim is to offer a truly personal service to make your stay at one of our holiday cottages as relaxing as we possibly can. Any queries or issues you may have during your stay, we are here to help. Special occasion, need help planning your surprise, we know the best florists, bakers and restaurants to book, just ask. Jacqui has worked in the hospitality sector for over twenty years and she can't wait to welcome you to the cottages and apartments that we manage.

Property information

Set in the perfect spot, tucked away down one of Rye's famous cobbled lanes, Whitefriars sleeps up to 8 guests (2 double bedrooms, 1 small double on the ground floor, one twin and 1 single) Large farmhouse style kitchen opening onto the terrace, TV lounge and a grand lounge on the 1st floor with piano and views over Rye. The master bedroom has a large ensuite bathroom and there is the family bathroom and shower room on the ground floor. Please note to access the two top floor bedrooms you must be able to climb a spiral staircase. One bedroom is accessed through the first one. The garden is enclosed with outside dining & seating. The whole house, with kitchen, two living rooms, five bedrooms. Please note the twin room is accessed through the single bedroom. These two bedrooms are in the attic space so there is restricted head height in places and the rooms are accessed from a spiral staircase. Care is required. There are 3 bathrooms. One ensuite with bath and separate shower, family bathroom with bath and overhead shower and a downstairs shower room. The ground floor bedroom is a small 4ft double so only suitable for one adult and this bedroom is opposite the shower room. There is a travel cot available but we do not provide cot bedding. Private parking for up to 3 cars off road. Two well behaved dogs for a fee PLEASE NOTE WE CANNOT ACCOMODATE EARLIER CHECK IN'S OR LATER CHECK OUT"S

Neighbourhood information

Whitefriars is located on one of Rye famous cobbled streets and only minutes from the bustling high street. Perfectly situated for enjoying the many independent stores, galleries, antique shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Rye is a pretty medieval town with lots of history, the famous Mermaid Inn and Mermaid street, Ypres Tower and a working fishing fleet, great for fresh fish. Located only 3 miles from the glorious Camber Sands and many other beaches within a 10 -15 minute drive. Beautiful 1066 country trails for the walkers and the Nature reserve at Rye Harbour and only a short drive from Dungeness. Plenty of water sports facilities close by, golf courses, fishing and horse riding. Hastings is about 17 miles away and can easily be reached by car, train or bus. A typical British seaside resort and worth a visit to see the Old Town and traditional seaside attractions. You are perfectly situated for exploring the areas numerous castles, stately homes and gardens.
