Clare & Mike have been the proud owners of Wild Air since 1999. It is set in an outstanding location with magnificent sea views and free on site parking. We brought the property because of it's beautiful unique design and have continued to maintain and renovate it annually to ensure guests total comfort and creating a wonderful relaxed atmosphere.
Mike is a commercial fisherman, as is our son Tom. Our family has a history of fishing in Mevagissey for over 400 years and Mike is delighted to chat about the harbour and industry with our guests. Clare has lived here for nearly 50 years, she is extremely knowledgeable about the area and the whole of Cornwall. We live onsite so are on hand anytime and many of our guests tell us that it is our knowledge and help in planning their days out is what has made their holiday so special. Clare cooks breakfast for you personally every morning and the morning chats have become legendary.
The best feature of Wild Air is the breath taking sea views. The vista takes in the harbour, Mevagissey & St Austell Bays, the coastline as far as Plymouth and extending to Chapel Point and beyond.
The glorious patio is perfect for breakfast, a glass of wine, a takeaway, reading a book or for any budding artists who might like to paint the local scenery.
Wild Air is just a few minutes walk from the harbour where you can catch the ferry to Fowey. A 5 minute car journey to the Lost Gardens of Heligan, The Eden Project is less than 30 minutes away. Mevagissey to totally central to Cornwall making it a perfect base for day trips to Land's End, St Ives, Falmouth, Looe, Polperro, Padstow, Plymouth, Penzance, Boscastle and the Roseland. The South West Coast Path is right outside the door.
A wide range of pubs and eateries can be found in Mevagissey to cater for all tastes.
