Company information

Yanni Batsakis I was born in Chania, a small town in the west part of Crete. Twenty years ago, I got married and had two daughters. Shortly after graduating from the Mathematics Department of the Swiss Federal University, I started teaching high school students. The interaction with my students has made me patient and understanding. Living and studying in a foreign country, I had the opportunity, customs of other nations. It was always exciting for me to meet people from other countries. That’s why traveling is one of my favorite habits. I enjoy waterskiing, cycling, running and swimming all the year round. I also enjoy having a glass of wine with good friends.

Property information

We welcome you to our bright, comfortable house in its own garden, very near to the wide sandy expanse and the crystal clear waters of Chrissi Akti beach. The house is located in the area of Chrissi Akti, 3km west of Chania. This is an unspoilt area providing rest and relaxation in its forest on its beaches. This one-storey house consists of 2 double bedrooms (one with 2 single beds) sitting room, kitchen, bathroom and a large verandah, extensive garden and parking place. It is possible to accommodate another 3 people on a bed settee and armchair which becomes a single bed. An important feature of the house is its many, large windows which flood the rooms with light. Inside the house is charming. In the cozy sitting room there is an attractive fireplace with large windows and a bookshelf on each side. All the area is elegantly decorated with small paintings and a hand-made chandelier with candles hangs from the ceiling. Most of the furniture is traditional and the house contains many attractive ethnic style objects which contribute to its special appeal. In one corner has been created a pleasant dining area. The main bedroom contains a large wardrobe with full-length mirror

Neighbourhood information

Although the house is located in an area with many facilities it retains its quiet atmosphere since it does not immediately adjoin the road but an area of greenery exists beyond the perimeter wall. Close to the house there is mini-market, ATM, Rent-a-car office and bus stop for the frequent local service. The main road into Chania away from the beach offers many other shopping facilities. Within walking distance are the unspoilt sandy beaches and wooded areas of Agioi Apostoloi, where residents can enjoy many outdoor activities, such as jogging, walking, cycling, swimming, beach sports or just the spectacular sunsets!
