I am originally from London and moved to Crete in 2021 with my wife. We fell in love with Crete and the Almyrida area whilst on holiday in 2010 and holidayed here for many years before making the move. Aspro Apartments are an ideal base if you are seeking a peaceful holiday location which is conveniently located near to the beach, tavernas/restaurants, bars, shops and access to the local traditional Cretan villages and towns of the Chania region of Crete. There are many scenic walking trails in the area and you can easily get around with a taxi office located in Almyrida, plus a Bus Stop which takes you to the town of Kalyves and onward to the city of Chania. There are also 2 car hire companies if you're feeling adventurous and want to explore more of the beautiful island on your own and take in all that Crete has to offer.

The beach resort of Almyrida is just a 3 minute drive or 15 minute walk from Aspro Apartments. There you will find all the amenities you could want for a relaxing beach holiday. There are many tavernas and restaurants to choose from, including traditional Greek menus to International cuisine. There are also several bars and cafes plus ice cream parlours and gift shops and well stocked supermarkets. In high season the beach offers water sports and activities from paddle boarding to kayaks and small boats for rent. You can also book day trips and if you are a keen diver there are a couple of dive shops. There is a taxi rank in the centre of Almyrida and 2 car hire companies. There is also a bus stop with buses going to Chania several times a day in the summer months (check local timetables for information). There are many traditional villages, offering a taste of the real Crete, all within easy reach of Aspro Apartments plus many hiking trails for the more adventurous walkers and hikers. Chania offers a wonderful mix of the old and new with the beautiful Ancient Harbour with it's stunning Lighthouse and many tavernas lining the harbour itself. Ideal for a leisurely lunch or dinner watching the world go by. It offers a bustling and exciting experience for anyone visiting.
