The Cambanis Residence is an historic mansion in the heart of Mykonos town, which belongs to the family since 1760. The house has two floors and is fully renovated respecting its traditional character. A brilliant specimen of 18th c. Cycladic architecture was built in 1713 by the Mykonian Skordilis family. In 1753 it passed into the possession of Dimitris Mavrogenis, brother to Nicholas Mavrogenis, the Phanariote Prince of Wallachia and uncle to Manto Mavrogenous, the heroine of Greek War of Independence of 1821. During your stay will relax in the elegant living room, savor the dazzling Cycladic light bursting through the big windows, the high ceilings, being surrounded by beautiful reminders of the past and you will indulge in people watching from the balcony. Its prime city-centre location has a front view of the picturesque Agia Kyiaki square while the island's scenic harbour is just 20 metres away from the house where cafes and taverns are situated.
