Polystylo is a small, peaceful village in the municipality of Kavala, with a beautiful, quiet center with a garden and a gazebo, one of the most beautiful churches in the area and a small food store. People here grow their vegetables and fruit and if you are looking for a homemade, authentic greek olive oil, don't hesitate to ask! In the nearby village, next to the ancient, archaeological site of Philippi is located the place where the Apostle Paul baptized the first Christian woman in Europe - Lydia, and it was here that the first baptismal ceremony was held in Europe. On the road to Kavala you will also pass through the village of Amygdaleonas, where you will find a big Jumbo store, a Discount markt and a lot of little cafeterias, bakeries, pizzerias and taverns.
