Kir-Yiannis stone house is a newly renovated apartment, on the first floor of a complex of stone houses, the oldest of which are dated back to the late 18th century. Our stone house can accommodate up to 4 guests, and is located exactly at the heart of Areopoli, near the Taxiarches Church and the famous square of the Rebellion of 1821.

ABOUT
The complex of the stone houses is our family place for a century now. Kir-Yiannis, our grandfather, and Kira Katina, our grandmother, have raised their children and grandchildren with love and affection, inside these high stone walls.
Kir-Yiannis stone house is 32 sqm, based on the first floor and newly renovated, including a bedroom, a sitting room and a bathroom. It is ideal for couples, solo travelers, friends and young families.
SPACE
Tastefully decorated and an eye for detail, the apartment consists of a wide bedroom with queen size bed, dedicated working space, dining table for up to 4 guests and 40-inch tv, a sitting area with a sofa bed and a small kitchenette, and a bathroom.
The balcony offers an outdoor sitting area and a view to the west, the open sea and the Messinia peninsula. You will be amazed by the prickly pears that grow everywhere, as if these are the flowers of Mani.
All beds have branded mattresses with hotel quality linen and towels. There are no facilities for cooking, still the kitchenette can facilitate ready to serve meals and basic preparations. Nespresso machine, kettle, greek coffee & filter coffee maker, small fridge, ironing board and dry rack are available to use. Free High speed wi-fi 50mbps.

OUR NEIGHBORHOOD
Now, our neighborhood, is the heart of Areopoli. The main local landmarks - the famous church of Pammegisti Taxiarches with the impressive bell tower (built in the 18th century), the square of the Immortals (starting point of the Greek Rebellion of 1821), the Mavromichalis family tower (built in 1760) - are surrounded by traditional taverns and quality restaurants, vivid cafes and specialty shops with local products.
Everything you may wish is within a walking distance of 3 minutes. Still you have the luxury to unwind at your balcony surrounded by the neighboring stone houses and with an open view of the horizon and the sea, extending up to city of Koroni (the southern edge of the Messinia peninsula).
LOCATION
Kir-Yiannis stone house is located on the side of the square of the Immortals, with an access to all parts of Areopoli village within 5 minutes walking. Municipality parking area is about 150 meters away.
Areopoli is lovely to explore in morning or in the afternoon. Wander around the small alleys, and get lost in time, with the architecture, the surrounding nature and the history of the place. Enter all smaller or larger chapels, visit Spilious at the edge of the village, try the local gastronomy (“lalaggia”, “galatopita”, “sigklino”), mingle with locals.
