Tucked away in the hills, our house stands on its own, with sweeping views of the mountains, the valley, and the Aegean Sea. There are two terraces and a balcony – perfect for watching the sunrise or simply sitting outside in peace, surrounded by nature and silence.
The house is ideal for families, one or two couples, or a small group – but it’s also a wonderful place to stay on your own. Whether you’re working, reading, or just looking to unwind in nature, this is a place to take a break and truly arrive in the moment.
Around the house, you’ll find a variety of fruit trees that bear at different times of year – feel free to pick whatever’s ripe.
Inside, there’s a bedroom with a double bed, a mezzanine with additional sleeping space, and a sofa in the living room that also works well for sleeping. A travel cot or extra bed can be provided if needed. The kitchen is well equipped, the dining table looks out into the greenery, and you’ll also find a smart TV, stereo system, and a small selection of books. Parking is available directly at the house.
We’ve known and loved this island since we were children. The nature, the people, and the pace of life here mean a great deal to us – and we hope you'll feel the special charm of this place, too.
Just a five-minute walk away is the small artist village of Manolates, one of the most beautiful and well-known places on the island. There you’ll find artisan workshops, small shops, and traditional tavernas.
The house sits at around 300 meters above sea level, surrounded by vineyards and right on several marked hiking trails – leading down into the famous Nightingale Valley, up into the village, or across the hills to the neighboring mountain villages of Ampelos, Stavrinides, and Vourliotes, all easily reached on foot.
By car, it’s about ten minutes to the coast and the village of Agios Konstantinos, where you’ll find a small supermarket, a bakery, and several restaurants – some of them excellent. Beautiful beaches like Svala, Tsabou, Lemonakia, and Tsamadou are also nearby. And if you’re in the mood for a bit more life, the fishing village of Kokkari is just 15 minutes away – with little shops, bars, and lots of spots to sit right by the water.
