He grew up in Levidi in an old farmhouse, where the apartment building stands today. He can help you with any information needed regarding the village, its history or nearby villages. Katherine is Greek, but grew up in Germany. She fully enjoys life in the village. Knitting, reading and learning about new things are a few of her hobbies.
♦♦The apartment is in a quiet yet central neighbourhood of Levidi.
The town of Levidi is 175 km from Athens and 25 km from Tripoli. It is situated on the northeastern slope of the Mount Mainalon, at about 850 m elevation.
There are many excursions one can take from Levidi, such as hiking trails on Mount Mainalon, visiting the ancient city of Orchomenos, the beautiful Holy Convent of Kernitsa and the ski resort of Ostrakina on Mount Mainalon.
Levidi was the site of several battles during the Greek War of Independence in 1821 from the Ottoman Empire.
