Through a journey that started in 2001, Oreo Travel was founded by Stratos Beretis, an experienced member of the Greek Tourism Industry, a Graduate of the Department of Economics of the University of Crete and a Master Degree Holder in Tourism Business Management.
Having passed through several management positions, he was won over by the occupation with tailor made tourism services and especially in inbound tourism in villas, independent properties, country houses and small holiday rental units.
Oreo Travel started as a representative of global tour operators and continues to this day with an ever-growing network of partners and properties in Crete, Peloponnese and Athens, in line with the new promotional and managing methods.
Our goal at Oreo Travel is to promote the properties we partner with in the best way possible, by solely operating as a booking agent on behalf of our partner-property owners, whom we advise and guide in providing high standards of hospitality for their guests, in accordance with the regulations and the laws that govern the accommodation industry.
Furthermore, we are constantly available for our guests to answer questions, solve potential problems that may arise while booking or staying in and to recommend services that may be needed to facilitate their stay and maximize their travel experience (car rental, transportation, tours, excursions and concierge services). Our customer support operates daily from 7 am to 11 pm and we provide a 24/7 emergency support to our valuable customers.
We welcome you and wish you a pleasant stay!

Paleokastro, or Paliokastro, is a picturesque seaside settlement in the municipality of Malevizi, just 8 km from the city of Heraklion, uniquely combining natural beauty, history and relaxation. It is an ideal destination for those who want to enjoy the quiet side of the Cretan Sea, away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded beaches.
In the heart of the settlement stands the imposing Venetian fortress of Paleokastro, which was built during the Venetian rule, probably on the ancient acropolis of the city of Kytaion. The beach of the settlement, with its pebbles and deep rocky bottom, is ideal for calm dives, while its protection from the north winds makes swimming there enjoyable even on days with strong winds.
On the eastern side of the beach, we find the remains of the Venetian lime kiln, which has been restored and is an important example of the industrial activity of the era. An important attraction of the area is the gorge of Paleokastro, where the church of Kera Spiliotissa is located, offering a beautiful route through nature.
