Porfyron The "red house" was built in 1860, a beautiful house with big bright rooms, and wood carved ceilings. In late 2005 the artistry renovation was finished and the house got the name 'Porfyron (Byzantine for red / purple). A plastered house with the color red, unusual in Zagori which is located in the National Park of Pindos, where ones can find only stone-build houses. Staying in Porfyron will warm you like a warm blanket of luxury. An unusual luxury of natural beauty, luxurious simplicity and domesticity.
