Yannis Batsakis I was born in Chania, a small town in the west part of Crete. Twenty years ago, I got married and had two daughters. Shortly after graduating from the Mathematics Department of the Swiss Federal University, I started teaching high school students. The interaction with my students has made me patient and understanding. Living and studying in a foreign country, I had the opportunity, customs of other nations. It was always exciting for me to meet people from other countries. That’s why traveling is one of my favorite habits. I enjoy waterskiing, cycling, running and swimming all the year round. I also enjoy having a glass of wine with good friends.

Close to the house there is mini-market, ATM, Rent-a-car office and bus stop for the frequent local service. The main road into Chania away from the beach offers many other shopping facilities. Within walking distance are the unspoilt sandy beaches and wooded areas of Kalamaki an Agioi Apostoloi, where residents can enjoy many outdoor activities, such as jogging, walking, cycling, swimming, beach sports or just the spectacular sunsets!
