Welcome to Laza House! I love creating homes where guests can feel relaxed and inspired, even if we don’t meet in person. My goal is to make your stay as smooth as possible, so you’ll always find the house well-prepared and full of thoughtful details.
I’m passionate about design, architecture, and travel, and I enjoy weaving those influences into the atmosphere of Laza House. While I won’t be there in person, I’m always just a message away if you need recommendations, guidance, or help during your stay.
I look forward to hosting you and making your visit memorable.
The mountain Helona above us is great for hiking.
There is an active volcano 10 min from the house. The nearby village Kameni Hora is super cute and has an outstanding atmosphere.
Acropolis at Paliokastro: The remains of an ancient fortified acropolis (Classical–Hellenistic period) stand on the hill above Methana, near Agios Nikolaos. Archaeologists have documented fortification walls and foundations.
Sanctuary of Isis (Vathi): Excavations revealed a small sanctuary dedicated to Isis and other Egyptian deities, showing the influence of foreign cults during the Hellenistic and Roman periods.
Hellenistic walls: Sections of fortification walls and towers survive in different parts of the peninsula, especially in Vathy.
Roman baths: Remains of Roman baths exist near Methana town, linked to the thermal springs.
The wonderful island of Poros, just 30 min drive and 5 min boat (ferry or small boat)
Restaurants: “Theoni” next to the house is unique for a fresh fish experience!!
All of the others are also very good, each one offering a unique experience (tables on a deck, by the boats, on the beach gravel etc). “Mariori” offers the best shrimps.
Trucks are passing by the house honking at different times of the days, selling fresh fruit, bread, yoghurt, milk, eggs, all local. That’s quite an experience!!
I also recommend visiting the ancient theatre of Epidavros (50 min drive).
