Located in Stavros, on the north-west coast of Akrotiri peninsula, Seascape Residence Stavros is 12 km away from the airport and only 14 km from the cosmopolitan Old Town and Venetian Harbour of Chania. Please, important note: The property offers three options for staying in. One option is the ground floor apartment with two bedrooms, the second option is the first floor apartment with one bedroom and the third is the combination of those two apartments. When you book the third option, the other two options are not available. Thank you

Stavros beach is located 15 km east of Chania on the Akrotiri peninsula. You can get here either by car or by taking one of the buses that start from the suburban bus station (KTEL) in the center of Chania. In 1964 Anthony Quinn arrived in Stavros along with the Oscar nominated film Zorbas the Greek that was set here. Nowadays Stavros reminds nothing of that peaceful fish village that is shown in the film, except from a rocky hill by the beach that remains intact and reaches several meters high. If you follow the path that leads on top of that hill, then you will meet the cave of the village and you will enjoy spectacular panoramic views. Stavros has two sandy beaches that are organized with canteens, umbrellas and sun beds. Along the shore there are many traditional taverns and cafés, as well as many small lodging units in case you want to spend the night here. Both beaches have clear turquoise waters, while the eastern one is ideal for children as it has shallow waters and it is well protected against bad weather. The west beach is much quieter and it is an excellent choice on a non-windy day. Before leaving take a walk around the small headland that separates the two beaches, as you will discover the remains of a quarry from where the Venetians dug the limestone that was used in the city walls.
