Vangelis Zaharatos 1911 at the age of 20 years comes from Kefalonia guest of Angelos Sikelianos himself to work in the reconstruction of the Villa in Sykia Xylokastro. Being a renowned carpenter on his island, he is very close to Villa Sikelianos and undertakes to exclude all the carpentry works of this marvelous house. After the completion of the works, V. Zaharatos remains in his new homeland where he builds his home, creates his family and works as a carpenter until the end of his life. The grandson gets his name, and with respect to the story and the family's name creates a completely modern and luxurious space of hospitality. The house built by the carpenter Vangelis Zacharatos is transformed into a warm and hospitable space, with an architecture that combines tradition with discreet luxury.
