The Lake House is a beautiful two-storey villa which has a surface area of about 110 square meters and it is located less than 1 km far from the lake of Kournas. The outdoor area includes a seasonal private swimming pool and a garden with many local flowers and trees (an old olive tree, an orange and a lemon tree), making it ideal for relaxing and al fresco dining. There is also a terrace in the upper floor, where you can enjoy the stunning view to the lake as well as to the sea. This holiday villa can accommodate up to 6 persons and is fully air-conditioned. The ground floor offers a bedroom with a double bed and a TV, a bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and dining area, and a spacious living room with a satellite flat-screen TV and an open fireplace. Outside the living room and the dining area is a balcony with view to the garden and the swimming pool. Wooden stairs lead the guests to the upper floor, where they can find two lovely bedrooms (one double and one twin) and a WC with a shower. The terrace at the upper floor enjoys a stunning view of the whole area. Free internet access is provided in all areas of the house.

The area is an ideal destination not only for family holidays but also for a romantic getaway. Kournas Lake and the small picturesque villages of the area are ideal places where the visitor can enjoy nature walks, picnics, water sports and swimming in the blue waters of the Aegean Sea. The lake is just a 5-minute walk away from the house. Here you can enjoy wonderful sunsets, water bike rides, and taste the delicious local delicacies at the traditional taverns on the shores of the lake. The visitor can also shop at the supermarkets of Kavros, just 1.5 kilometers from Kournas Lake. The city of Chania is 40 minutes away while the picturesque town of Rethymno is only a 15-minute drive away. Finally, Georgioupolis beach is just a 5-minute drive away. There you can enjoy swimming, sea sports, riding in the sand and have your coffee, lunch or dinner by the sea.
