About the property: The holiday home is a 2-Storey traditional stone house with panoramic views and just a few minutes´ walk (100 m.) to the village center of Agios Matheus. Fully renewed (2017) and with great attention to detail, the property is located in a quiet area of the historic village and it's surrounded by traditional narrow, cobbled lanes. The perfect starting point for all your daily excursions! After it's renovation (building year 1732) we aim for an ideal combination of modern standards & conventional building values. It offers 2 cozy bedrooms with enclosed bathrooms on the second floor, connected via a wooden staircase. The master bedroom has its own balcony ensuring magnificent views. Fully-equipped indoor kitchen and dining area, a large & comfortable living room with TV, modern bathrooms with shower, laundry room, terrace with panoramic views and outdoor furniture. At the village center you'll find grocery shops, restaurants, pharmacies, parking spaces, etc. Ancient olive groves, the best sunset spots and beaches in southwest Corfu are only a few kms. away. About the neighborhood: Agios Matheus is a beautiful old mountain village situated 25km south-west of Corfu Town. Situated on the slopes of Mount Gamilios Oros, the village is surrounded by traditional olive groves, oak trees and a variety of wild flowers. From every point of the village, you will discover more picturesque views of the surrounding hills and the sea. Agios Mattheos is a fantastic place for families, couples and those seeking peace and quiet. Guests have the opportunity to discover the old Corfiot architecture and to get in touch with the Corfiot landscape as they walk through the narrow picturesque streets in and around the village and admire the old houses and churches. Furthermore, winding, small paths lead from Ag. Mattheos between dense, old olive groves to the nearby coastline of the green island of Corfu. The famous beaches of Paramonas, Skidi, Kanouli and Chalikounas are easily accessible from here. A few steps from the house, the famous Corfu Trail leads to the top of the olive-covered mountain.
