The Location
Vathia View is situated in the heart of a historic fortified settlement, often referred to as the "Acropolis of Mani," the legendary Vathia. Here, time seems to stand still, transporting visitors to a different era. The scenery feels like a fairytale, with towers that tell stories of pirates and mythical creatures. The stone-built tower houses blend harmoniously, creating a masterpiece of traditional architecture that captivates every visitor.
The Guesthouse
Vathia View is much more than just accommodation. It is housed on the ground floor of an authentic Maniot stone tower, dating back to before 1800. Lovingly renovated with respect to the local tradition, the tower remains one of the few inhabitable ones in Vathia, standing proudly with a breathtaking view of the sea. Ideal for two guests, the guesthouse features a comfortable double bed, a fully equipped kitchen with cooking facilities, and a bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer. Additional amenities include free WiFi, a TV, and a water heater. During the summer months, the guesthouse offers natural cooling reminiscent of a cave.
The Access
Vathia View is located just 160 meters from the parking area, accessible via a traditional natural pathway.
Vathia itself is a living museum. It offers visitors the opportunity to wander through its narrow alleys, amongst the ruins of old stone towers, as if embarking on a journey to the past, where time has stood still.
