Our house is located at Gerani, with fantastic views over the White Mountains and the islet of Theodorou. The sandy beach in front of the house has a length of 2.5 km and its crystal clear water is a real attraction both to locals and tourists. Next to the beach there are many facilities such as sunbeds, showers, beach bars, water sport services and a lifeguard. Gerani is a small coastal village located between Maleme and Platanias, just 12 km away from Chania centre and 30 km from the International Airport of Chania. It is situated in a verdant valley with olive and citrus groves. Gerani offers many facilities: shops, pharmacy, restaurants, bars, super markets, bakery and grocery stores. It has a very frequent bus connection to Chania and the surroundings. The city of Chania, the capital of the prefecture of Chania, the westernmost regional unit of Crete, is the most popular holiday destination in Crete and one of the most beautiful destinations in Greece.
