It is a free standing house owned by us. The whole ground floor contains Caffe bar eco that is open on all days from 8 to 23 hours and has a large parking place just in front of it. The parking often has free places, but there are no reservations. The name “eco” is homage to the magnificent yacht eco where I worked nine years as electrical engineer. The apartment is on the first floor and it has separate access from the rear side of the building on a quiet dead end street.
We are Adriana and Slobodan Jakšić, daughter and father. The mother Ivana is in the background, though of great help. We both speak fluent English, Italian and Spanish and Slobodan also speaks fluent Slovene and some Frensh. Slobodan aka BoBo loves horses and riding and Adriana owns and loves her dogs and cats.
About 50m up the street there is an everyday open private bakery with variety of products. Shops and small markets, pharmacy and petrol station are also uphill walk to the first traffic lights. Dental clinic is in the adjacent house and large Hospital is at 12min walking distance. This eastern part of Rijeka has ample choice of beaches within 15min walking distance, you just have to go towards the seafront. There is even a nice beach for the dogs in the vicinity. Short rides by car to the east and to the west offers great choice of beaches and holiday resorts.
